CATHOLIC SOCIAL JUSICE
In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers (or sisters) of mine, you did it to me.
(Matthew 25:40)
Central to Catholic social justice teaching is the belief that all people are equal and should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, gender, religion or ethnicity. Catholic schools have a strong commitment to social justice and children are encouraged and provided with opportunities to participate in activities focusing on moral decision-making; recognising that such decision-making can be both complex and demanding. Children are encouraged to work with compassion for justice in the world and to believe in their own potential to effect change.

FAITH IN ACTION (also see Fundraising Page)
At St Michael and All Angels we regularly support charities linked with causes which have touched the lives of families in our school, such as Macmillan Cancer Support and St. John’s Hospice.
Care and concern is extended to local and national needs which are addressed whenever possible. Fundraising takes place throughout the year, such as: Mary's Meals; CAFOD; Mission Together; CARITAS, Comic Relief and Children in Need.
The School Council lead fund raising efforts. The local community, including the Parish, are remembered at our Harvest thanksgiving and receive harvest gifts delivered by the children. Harvest gifts are also given to the Wirral food bank.
FAIR TRADE
Our school council led us in a whole school FAIRTRADE project where we explored the links between FAIRTRADE and CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING.
